Description
This creature has a long, snake-like body that is coiled up in a helix. Two tentacles emerge from the shoulders, and it has an ugly, flat face with bulldog-like features. The entire body is divided into a white and black half, making it appear almost surreal.
One of the most odd-looking creatures imaginable, an iecorn has the long, sinuous body of a serpent, the head and shoulders of a humanoid, and two tentacle-like arms. The lanky body is almost always coiled up in the shape of a helix, and it moves across the ground with an odd, sideways gyration. The iecorn has a bull dog-like face that only a mother could love, with a wide, abbreviated nose, a jowled jaw, oversized eyes, large, multi-lobed ears, and a single tapered horn at the top of the forehead.
The most bizarre aspect of this creature, however, its its coloration. The iecorn is divided evenly down the center into black and white, the black side having a white iris and white hair, while the white side has black hair and a black iris. Besides their feminine features, the females of the species are distinguished from the males by having the opposite coloration scheme, with black and white on the reversed sides.
Iecorns are industrious, scrupulously honorable, and unimaginative creatures that stick to a regular daily schedule that allows no variance. They have a strong dislike of the unexpected or overly creative, and their society is rigorously managed to avoid disruptions to occur. Iecorns have an extensive structure of laws and customs to cover every occasion, and they make exceptional judicial servants. In terms of art, fashion, and festivities, however, they are almost entirely lacking.
A coiled iecorn stretches about 8 feet in length and weighs nearly 240 pounds. It speaks Common, Abyssal, Celestial, and Draconic.
Combat
An iecorn is a disciplined and skilled fighter that carefully follows the orders of its superior down to the letter. Their battle tactics are unimaginative, but each contingency is planned down to the last detail and they are excellent tacticians. As a result they are stalwart foes that are nearly impossible to rout or demoralize in a prepared battle.
An iecorn's natural weapons, as well as any weapons it wields, are treated as lawful-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
Spell-Like Abilities: At will―calm emotions (DC 18), command (DC 15), detect chaos, dimensional anchor. 1/day―dispel magic, greater command (DC 21), make whole, order's wrath (DC 18). Caster level 9th. The save DC are Charisma-based.
Paralysis (Su): A creature hit by an iecorn's gore attack must succeed on a DC 17 Will save or be affected as though by hold monster (caster level 7th). Whether or not the save is successful, the creature cannot be affected by that same iecorn's paralysis ability for 24 hours. The save DC is Charisma-based and includes a +2 racial bonus.
Magic Circle Against Chaos (Su): A magic circle against chaos always surrounds an iecorn (caster level 5th). (The defensive benefits from the circle are not included in the statistics block above.)
Music Immunity (Ex): An iecorn is immune to any magical effect produced through music or by a musical instrument.
Skills: Iecorn have a +4 racial bonus on Jump checks.

Incarnate
Author: Robert J. Hall.
Incarnate creatures dwell in the nexus of the outer planes, the realms of neutrality, although they resemble beings found on the Material Plane. They are clearly more capable and impressive than their earthly counterparts. Incarnate creatures are neither perfect nor flawed in form, yet they appear as a type of idealized prototype for creatures of their form. They possess a subtle radiant essence that gives the incarnate creature a naturally enchanted appearance. Incarnates can have a great variety of forms that are akin to the creatures on untold numbers of worlds.
Sample Incarnate
This example uses a giant owl as the base creature.
